These FAQs are meant to help answer general questions pertaining to Robert Houghton Office. The FAQs describe general information about our office but do not provide any medical advise or medical statements. If you wish to learn more about a certain topic, feel free to call or email us. Do I have to go elsewhere for my labs?

There is a  fully equipped lab on site that offers laboratory testing for Quest and Labcore,.

What form of payment do you take?

We take all credit cards, cash and checks.

If I have concerns, complaints or compliments?

We are very interested in making our patients feel taken care of. Please call our office manager , Diana Pimentel at 619 233 4044 and she will be happy to help you.

What happens if I need Hospitalization?

If you have an emergency please call 911. Go to your nearest Hospital.
Other hospitalizations will be done by specialists you have been referred to or by hospitalists at the specific hospital your insurance is affiliated to.Dr Houghton can provide any info. to them they might need after you sign a release.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most PPO insurance plans, HMOS under Mercy Physicians Medical Group(MPMG)exclusively, Cash and Medicare patients.

What are your hrs of operation?

We are open from Monday through Friday between 8:30 and 5;30 PM

What if I need to cancel my appointment or visit?

Please give us at least 24 hrs notice to avoid additional fees. We have patients on a waiting list to be seen earlier at times.

If I need a Pilot, Air Traffic Controller Exam how soon can I be seen?

We do our best to accommodate your exam and certification within a week of your call.
